About Barry Abston
Barry graduated from Tulane Law School in 1989. While there, he served on the Tulane Maritime Law Journal Editorial Board and actively participated in the moot court program, winning first place in the J. Braxton Craven competition in constitutional law.
Upon graduation, he and his family relocated to Mobile, AL, where he worked as an associate for Cherry-Givens until 1994. During this time, he served as assistant city attorney for the city of Mobile.
After practicing in the Carolinas, Barry returned to Huntsville in November of 1998 to open a private practice. His wife is a pediatrician, and they have two teenage children. Both Barry and his wife are advocates for children and their rights. He enjoys deer hunting, fishing and spending time with his family and with Che, “man’s best friend”.
Barry currently serves as the Town Attorney for Owens Cross Roads and is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and The Alabama Criminal Defense Lawyers Association.
